game project 2- puzzle

October 1:

This was the first day I started working on the puzzle game. I was planning to create another game with google apps, this time, google sheets. I had a tutorial from YouTube saved ready, which was a type of puzzle that shows a hidden image, and the player must do something to reveal each grid square to unhide the image. I was thinking of making the player answer math equations and the correct answers reveal the image behind the grid. The image I wanted to use was either Moo Deng the baby hippo or a funny looking photo of the main character of the One Piece anime; Monkey D. Luffy.

My plans were all scrapped when meeting the substitute professor of today's class, Jacques Parys. We initially met through level up and it was nice meeting him again. He suggested I use a proper game engine to push myself and obtain coding experience as it is more important to learn that skill than using google apps.

I then tried doing a slide puzzle instead on Godot. I chose Godot since we all have a starter background with the program. I went back and forth between two videos, but I found the big blocks of text which were the codes and somewhat outdated tutorial due to using an older version of Godot did not motivate me to continue with this puzzle.
