Devlog#8- weeks 9-10



For this week, I finalized the post process for my game. On top of the CRT filter, chromatic aberration, and the dirt mask thats visible when the viewer is close to luminance, I added a fisheye lens to mimic the found footage/bodycam effect, as well as viewing or playing an old video on a rounded television screen. With the help of the prof, I got lots of help on how to enable the crt filter only if the collector npc is close to the player character, which is the indicator that danger is near, and the player needs to move away from the collector. This is the suggestion that my vfx and thesis profs gave me, as a VFX assignment and a mechanic to help to player.
My next goals are:
-trigger event box outside of the exit, for this i must also create a main menu and win screen
-complete the rest of the procedurally generated blueprints, i currently have 3 working
-finish the rest of the museum level
my next priority would be the trigger event box, since that is more on the mechanic side, everything else is to make the game look pretty
